With over 40 years of experience in mining and heavy industry spanning across countries in Asia and Africa, John has accumulated a wealth of knowledge across a wide range of roles. While his expertise primarily lies in maintenance, extensive industry exposure has equipped John with diverse skills, valuable lessons, and innovative ideas that he is eager to share with companies seeking to enhance their work practices. John has successfully overseen fixed plant shutdowns, managing workforces of up to 600 individuals, and has played a key role in developing departments and personnel tailored to specific roles and business requirements. Additionally, John’s proficiency extends to the realm of heavy mobile equipment, spanning both surface and underground operations. His involvement in underground fixed plant infrastructure, encompassing dewatering and ventilation, has honed John’s skills in implementing planned maintenance strategies using various CMMS systems such as SAP, Ellipse, Oracle, and JD Edwards.
